Actually, I saw Sinead on the Late Late Show tonight, remembered this little tidbit, and came across this site after a Google search. I actually recall hearing that she worked with them on some of the bass instrumentation on the album. That may not be true, it might be as you said, but either way, great artists all around. Phil Collins my ass. I remember hearing about this back when that album was released.
