Talib took the stage to a cold audience, William Tell and Sugarcult didn’t do a very good job of warming up the crowd.It didn’t take long for the energy of the crowd to pick up and everyone in the bowl was on their feet, despite the fact that UMCP decided it would be a good idea to chain together chairs on the floor. He took us back with a lot of old school beats and some ridiculous freestyles.

I came across  over at MTV  that ?uestlove and the “Yessirs”  re-did In My Mind with new beats. Now I didn’t think In My Mind was a bad album, but it was just not what you would expect Pharrell to do, the parts were there, but the whole package wasn’t there.

?uestlove posted the new version of ‘Best Friend’ on his MySpace, and I think the less-synthier sound does the song well. I hope the whole album comes out. If Pharell wants the project out, despite the original not doing well sales wise, I am sure he has enough push to get this thing out.

I just came across this, on the Clinton Sparks page. He has put up his whole stash of mixtapes he has ever done up for free download, gee I wonder if the DJ Drama raid has anything to do with this. There is definitely some stuff you should grab for your mp3 stashes, that is of course if you already don’t have them.

• Having Swizz Beats as a feature on beats he dosen’t make is a trend?
• Fabolous seems to put out 2 singles before his album drops he did the same thing with Street Dreams and now he is doing it again after already having Diamonds as the first single.

This piece makes you think, the issue is pretty complex. I would just like to note that this probably marks the first time ‘Killa Season’ has been used in a news segment.

 Just came across this over at eskay’s site. It look’s like Cam’ron is going to be on CBS’ 60 Minutes to talk about ‘Stop Snitching’. The quotes that are out in the press, give a glimpse in to an amazing moment in TV history. Based on his previous video materials, this should be right up there.

Also.. Cam.. WHERE IS THE PEDOPHILE DOCUMENTARY?!?!

I know you’ve been waiting for the video ever since the interview. Well, the video is finally done and it was worth the wait. The video is well polished and it captures the beauty of hip hop in NY perfectly. See if you can catch some of the visual cues that match up with the song (one hint: boombox). sidenote: I know there haven’t been many updates the past few days, but there was crazy shit going on in the world and I was laying in bed for 2 days straight, intensely sick. But get your eye glasses cleaned, you’ll be using them a lot around these parts.
