This video reminds me of Ralphi Bakshi’s films like “American Pop” where he animated over footage of actors performances.
I’m afraid that I’ll like 88-Keys “The Death Of Adam” a lot more than “808’s And Heartbreaks”. I hope not but it may happen.

Dart’s right on the money. The animation in the video is rotoscoped – like “American Pop” or Richard Linklater’s “Waking Life”.
