Say goodbye to MTV’s TRL tomorrow.

Tomorrow night MTV’s Total Request Live pulls the plug on its 10+ year existence with a reunion of sorts. Both artists that were a big part of TRL and former hosts are scheduled to appear. Honestly, I’ll be tuning in- I’ve always had a soft spot for the show, it was the thing to watch when I got home from Middle School in the late 90s. I had the 1-800 number programmed into the speed dial of our home phone…and damn it I was psyched when I got to request an Eve video (before you say anything the other option was 98 Degrees, ok?) with Carson, street cred be damned. I was also lame enough to record the moment of glory that was my call-in on VHS. Other than that some of my best personal memories were the EMtv special where Eminem took over the show, Noel Gallagher being high out of his mind during his appearance, and the Spankin New Music week which had 2 Rage Against the Machine performances around the release of The Battle of Los Angeles. Hopefully I’ll recall some more from the finale.

The finale airs on this Sunday on MTV at 8pm.

Read the full details of who is scheduled to appear, reminisce with a 60 second recap of TRL’s history (including Tyra calling Kanye “Kane”) and a clip of Outkast Andre 3000 performing Hey Ya live on TRL, all after the jump.

Los Angeles, CA – November 11, 2008 – A star-studded group of artists from rock, pop, hip-hop and beyond are already lined up to commemorate TRL with their memories, performances, and more as MTV’s “Total Finale Live” celebration (November 16 8:00pm ET/PT) grows ever closer.  Justin Timberlake, Kid Rock, and JC Chasez, always sure to draw a crowd in New York City’s Times Square, are set to join “TRL’s” current host Damien Fahey and former host Carson Daly in the studio and share their thoughts on what the show meant to them.

Just when you thought the finale couldn’t get any bigger, the show has been extended an extra half-hour to fit in all the “TRL” goodness. The finale will now feature Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Nelly on stage together in a one-time only collaboration, adding another big moment to the long list of hot performances that have taken place in the “TRL” studios over the years. In addition, Christina Aguilera and Travis Barker will be joining the show via satellite to say a few words to the fans.

Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy and the Backstreet Boys have already been added to the list of performers for “Total Finale Live.” Diddy, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden, Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit fame and Jonathan Davis of Korn will all appear in the studio.

And since you can’t have “TRL’ without the VJs, we’re welcoming back Lyndsey Rodrigues, Vanessa Minnillo, Dave Holmes, Jesse Camp, Hilarie Burton, La La Vasquez and Quddus to celebrate, in addition to the show’s hosts, Carson Daly and Damien Fahey.

“Total Finale Live” is Executive Produced by Dave Sirulnick, Tony DiBari, Tim Healy and Dave George. Shawn Witt serves as Supervising Producer. Marta Ravin is Producer.

Do you think they can touch the finale for Yo! MTV Raps? I doubt anyone appearing can match that MC Serch freestyle.
