Yasiin Bey x DJ Preservation – Quiet Dog Bite Hard (Remix).

Did The Ecstatic need a remix? Not in the slightest. But new music from Preservation is welcome. Outside of his work with Mos Def, he produced two tracks on $amhill’s fantastic The Preface EP which remains one of my favorite releases of the year.

Consider me a Future convert. The seemingly generic Atlanta rapper pulls gold out of a spectrum of Auto-Tune, melancholy, and cloud 9 stripper anthems. In hindsight, “Tony Montana” might have even been kind of cool too. No, I’m not kidding and yes, I’m playing “Blow Them Bands” when my first child is born.
