Jay-Z AMEX Sync Show Live Stream, Tonight, 3.12.12.

American Express has cut a fat check to live stream Jay-Z performing songs live from the famed Austin City Limits. Hov will perform songs as selected by twitter (HOLA HOVITO, PLEASE!!). I’ve watched a few Hov streams in my  internet life time, and all of them have been pretty noteworthy (and a lot of rappers can take note). Lastly, you’ll be able to watch the show from a choice of 3 different camera perspectives.

The live stream starts at 8pm EST at  American Express’ Youtube Page.

Cormega – MARS (ft. Action Bronson, Roc Marciano, Saigon) (produced by Large Professor).

Those who picked up Neek The Exotic and Large Professor’s Still On The Hustle last year know that Extra P’s talent has endured over the two decades since Breaking Atoms dropped. Cormega’s Mega Philosophy will also get the full Large Pro treatment and hopefully source some better rhyming than Still On The Hustle. “MARS” is a great start and marks the formation of one of the more promising and realistic rap supergroups of late. I think you can count on these guys recording more often than Center Edge Territory and with better output than Slaughterhouse. What happened to that Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean mixtape?

Booda French – Full Time (ft. Von Pea).

A guest verse of Von Pea’s breezy, conversational flow always livens up stuffy underground rap.

8Ball – Immaculate Perception (ft. Waka Flocka, Yelawolf) (produced by Drumma Boy).

Don’t preach to me about music,
Saying, “Waka step up your lyrics.”
Mind your business.

You have to admire people who are completely hater-proof.

Stalley – 87 Regal (produced by Block Beattaz).

It’s dope to see Block Beattaz branching out of their local producer niche. Based on the faded funk of “87 Regal,” a Curren$y collaboration would make a lot of sense. Their recent spate of Stalley collaborations suggests a Rick Ross collab could be just a matter of time.

Kendrick Lamar – Cartoon & Cereal (ft. Gunplay) (produced by THC).

Kendrick Lamar

It used to take me 25 minutes to get to work in the morning. Now it takes about three “Cartoon & Cereal”s. In the video below, Kendrick says he wants to do a video for it too.

Jackie Chain – Nice And Slow (ft. Collie Buddz, Jhi Ali) (produced by Block Beattaz).

Killer Mike – Big Beast (ft. Bun B, T.I., Trouble) (produced by El-P).

For every forty collaborations that make you cringe (Superbowl halftime show, anyone?), there’s one that’s totally random and totally brilliant. Killer Mike and El-P’s forthcoming R.A.P. Music is the latter kind. Someone please tell me Big Boi is on there.

Rittz – Paradise (ft. Nikkiya) (produced by DJ Burn One).

“Paradise” is Rittz and DJ Burn One perfectly in sync as Rittz’ double-time flow coasts through the beat’s hazy euphoria. DJ Burn One beats are seldom put to better use.

SpaceGhostPurrp – Tha Black God.

Time-traveling post-Wu rap mystic SpaceGhostPurrp speaks to the destitute and poverty-stricken as Tha Black God, here to disrupt our societal prisons. The song appears on God of Black EP Vol. 1, which I’m guessing will serve as the basis for a future religion.
