Nardwuar Versus The World.
I’m so glad people are catching on to how great Nardwuar is. He makes me proud to be Canadian. If you’ve never watched/heard Nardwuar do his thing, you’re in for a treat.

TI: “Hey man, happy times”.
Sphere: Related ContentThis interview was shot during her tour with the Roots earlier this year. She talks about fucking with the Root’s live show, her new album, and her music in general. It also looks like the producers on part two are gonna be the same as on New Amerykah part one.
Thanks to Tunji and Okayplayer for the vid.

I’ve slacked on posting Juan Ep episodes lately but this is too dope to pass up putting up. Q-Tip joins Cipha and Rosenberg for an enlightening conversation.
We covered Gutta earlier on this site. This is Part 1 of an interview where he talks about his life, his new album, and other wildness.
The name of his upcoming album is “Heads Will Roll”. It drops September 2nd.
Thanks to Babygrande and iHipHop for the video.

All sounds dope. Funny story: I reviewed Spell my Name Right for my college newspaper and they spelled my name wrong.

At the time we had [Buckshot, Masta Ace and Special Ed], we had Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and we reached out to Jay-Z, I think, at the time, and maybe somebody else. I think they all came. I think Ol’ Dirty Bastard left, and I think Jay came late.
I can’t imagine what “Crooklyn Dodgers” would sound like with ODB on it. Peep AaronM’s write-up on the Crooklyn Dodgers Reunion.

Sphere: Related ContentIt’s rare to get a word from Dr. Dre. We usually hear from him indirectly through Bishop Lamont, some of the Aftermath staff producers like Hi-Tek, DJ Khalil and Focus and lately Snoop Dogg. So maybe this interview is a sign that his long-awaited album Detox will actually see release soon. Or maybe he just answered a few questions while pimping his new headphones. Says the good doctor,
I’m just now — over the last couple of months — starting to feel that it’s going to be right and it’s something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it.
Dre also says that if all goes according to plan, the album should come out by November or December. Nas, Jay-Z and Weezy will appear be on it and the beats will be driven by live drums. Come to think of it, there was something particularly dope about the drums on the new Dr. Dre-produced Bishop Lamont track (via OnSMASH).
Other than that, he talks a little about his plans after Detox. I’m glad he’s not following the trend in hip-hop of phony retirements. Not going to name anybody, you guys know who are.
