To continue our recent spree of hip-hop related commercials (every time we post one of these, someone sends us a suitcase full of cash), here’s Black Milk’s surprising placement in a state-sponsored ad for Michigan products. At 0:22, he says “Fresh Milk!”

The ad does a much better job of promoting Michigan as a travel destination than say, Hex Murda.

For those unfamiliar with the Suite for Ma Dukes project, Carlos Niño and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson reinterpreted four J Dilla songs with a full orchestra and released their work as an EP in February 2009.

VTech and Mochilla put on a show in2009 featuring a performance by the Suite for Ma Dukes Orchestra. The show will be released on DVD as part of the Timeless Concert Series box set.

Here is audio and video of the orchestra performing “Take Notice” from Dilla’s Ruff Draft, mixed by Bob Power.
