Malice (of The Clipse) Vlogs #1 & #2, Video.

Quietly, Malice (aka 1/2 of the ML Hollers @ Subjects, The Clipse) has stepped up his web presence by launching a series of vlogs, that are must see for any fans of The Clipse. In Vlog #1 you learn that Malice is a culinary mastermind, uses the word ‘foolishness’ (which I have been using A LOT)  lately, has a stock BMW, plays golf… AND has a book called Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind, and Naked coming out. *phew*

In Vlog #2, is some sort of cryptic short movie scored to Clipse tracks, interesting to watch.

“Santana’s Town” Parody Dazzles Us With Its Hoe Selection.

Juelz Santana’s video for “Santana’s Town” is a classic. It managed to be visually impressive, funny and cool at the same time. I haven’t seen a truly memorable music video since the dawn of viral videos. With that said, this amateur parody of “Santana’s Town” is hilarious. And someone in Cam’ron’s camp must have liked it enough to post it on the Dipset YouTube channel. Metal Lungies has already offered the makers, Team Rim Breakers, a ten million dollar contract.

I posted the original after the jump for reference and for old time’s sake. Dipset, R.I.P. Ay!

If you are confused by the title, watch the first video to get familiar, then go in on the remix (the 2nd video). Maury and Music remixes of youtube clips stay killing (my productivity)! Thanks for the pointer CP.

Black Lips – The Drop I Hold (Remix ft.GZA).

Via Exclaim!

Okay, this is a few days old, but it’s worth hearing. Not as surprising of a combo as you might expect. GZA  made a few appearances on the Atlanta garage rock band’s SXSW tour, and seem to have become fast friends. As for the track itself, it’s…interesting.

The band’s playing is a bit too sloppy for GZA to ever gain a foothold, so he stumbles over the song’s reverbed haze. The verse was also clearly recorded separately from the Black Lips’s playing; GZA’s voice sounds too clear compared to the distant vocals on the backing track. The twangy, dusty vibe of the song isn’t too far removed from some of the spacier stuff on Liquid Swords. Nonetheless, I’d much rather hear GZA spitting with the El Michels Affair, or better yet, a full-length collaboration between the band and the Clan. It just makes more sense, especially in light of the Affair’s recent cover album of Wu-Tang instrumentals, Enter The 37th Chamber.

Ron Artest is still ML’s favorite NBA player.

It’s been way too long since we’ve mentioned our favorite NBA baller, Ron on here, last night he gave us just the reason to rekindle our flame.  After getting thrown out for some no good reason, Ron still had amazing press conference left in him. It turns out, the way Ron Artest played ball growing up.. a flagrant foul was handed out to manslaughter? (Thanks to Mwhd on twitter for the link!)

Oh and for those of you so amazed about Ron’s new haircut.. still doesn’t top this:

ML was awestruck by Rick Ross’ dancing 3 years ago, Video.

For some reason, we can spend countless days and nights watching Rick Ross dance. Heck, we’d buy a Rick Ross dancing DVD (only if offered infomercial style).  Seeing YN unearth this gem above, reminded me of another gem ML saw first hand about 3 years ago:

Maino has a wide range of emotions (and a mixtape).

Maino is one the most underrated dudes coming up right now IMO, he just rubs me as a completely genuine dude. In the past few days he’s been showing that he has a range of emotions to share with the world.

Over the weekend Maino cried upon recently finding out his friend got shot and paralyzed by the cops:

Then yesterday he was a cheery Mariachi player at Hot97:

But enough talking about Maino’s emotions, check out some music from the man in the form of a mixtape I’ve had chillin in my e-mail box for wayyyy to long, Black Flag City which features a bunch of his Hustle Hard crew..

But, you’ll have to jump to see the Cover/Tracklisting/download.
