“High Grade” is a mellow headnodder from my fellow Canucks, Sweatshop Union and when I saw the video, I knew I had to share. I’m always happy to recommend Canadian hip-hop, and this is dope. Great video concept too – I love OnSmash, but it’s nice to see a video that isn’t just dudes hanging out on their block and rapping. The Statler and Waldorf sample wins.
Like I mentioned before, I rarely post videos..but I had to chirp in about this video, just because of the WTF values of the song/video. This song itself is like as if Lil Kim was itching to make an anthem dedicated to Motorola 2 Way pagers, but didn’t have time to release it (I wonder why?), so she tried to modernize it as an anthem about the internets. Who is this even geared towards? The group of dudes that were in amnesia for the last decade and are desperately looking to Lil Kim to school them on the topic of the internet? At least, there is home honesty in the video, Windows XP reigns supreme! Also, Charlie Wilson (who I do enjoy normally) is not needed in this video..at all. Lastly, you know we are in a recession when instead of using Minority Report style super computers you’d expect to see ala Hype Williams video, you get sub-$300 acer notebooks?? No matter what, in the end, it’s safe to say that Lil Kim is proponent of sexting.
As Knobbz can tell you, Method Man is a great interview. Recently, Whoo Kid had a chance to talk to Meth, resulting in a really great interview. Frank Purdue better cut Meth a check for the major co-sign. Be in awe of moments like Whoo Kid asking Meth about nutrition, and Meth knowing who Tay Zonday is!!
More highlight reel material from the Caps. I was speechless when I saw this during the game today. That save was so vicious the DC Metropolitan Police issued a warrant for a robbery. Caps lead the best of 7 series, 1-0, lets change the history.
Did you know that Dee Dee of the Ramones recorded a rap album as Dee Dee King in 1989? This single is not on the album but still terrible and entertaining in a kind of car-wreck way. Seek out the whole album if you hate your ears.

We really thought TI’s MTV series Road to Redemption was inspirational, but it wouldn’t really help the delinquent team behind ML. However, Lil Duval’s Road 2 Destruction most definitely would.
This video is so powerful, so life changing, so inspirational. One of the greatest ML Hollers @ subjects goes to a Chicago Bulls game (sidebar: tonight’s Bulls/Celtics game was EPIC, and that’s coming from someone that kinda has hated both teams at various points). Highlights include getting Daps from Jeff Van Gundy, taunting Marbury, talking to Lindsay Hunter (it’s not like he has to prepare for any game action, he’s the team minister, right?), asking Floor Seat waiter- Chi City “How do you pronounce your name? Waiter: “John.”.
Oh and in case you were wondering why this had a little delay in getting posted to the internets, Chi-City has a pretty legit reason:

I don’t know how many of you caught Ovechkin’s goal last night, but it was a thing of beauty. Dekes two defenders, loses control for a second, kicks the puck back to his stick and shoots it right past the goalie. This kid is the truth. Let’s go Caps!!!!
