OK, I know what you’re thinking. Videos like this are why my mom wishes I listened to Coldplay. But I’ve met Term, Statik and Fame and I know them to be cool guys. It’s just that when they get on some real grime-ball, smack-you-upside-your-shit music like this, they like to get a camera in the room and mean mug at it and ominously drink from a big bottle of rum, that’s all. 1982 is one of my most anticipated albums. This track is Statik at his grimiest.
I just jacked this from saw this on NahRight. Shit is hilarious.
B.O.B. imitating Wayne is one of the best things I have seen in my life.
If you ever get a chance to see B.O.B. I highly recommend dude. He’s a great performer, a talented musician, and apparently a comedian too. After the jump is a link to the mp3 of the song (also jacked from eskay), plus an old Ice Cube song from the Office Space soundtrack that I’ve had on my mind all day.
ML homie/video interview extraordinaire Jabari talks to 1/2 of The Clipse Pusha T at the Play Cloths & The Road to Till The Casket Drops launch yesterday at Commonwealth DC. If you may recall we got the heads up about Play Cloths over the summer.
Since Jabari is a robot and we can’t keep up with his video interviews here are some other interviews he’s done that you may have missed:
I remember when they were shooting this at Howard. I really wanted to go down, but it never worked out. I’ve watched it over once already, but I’m sure I didn’t catch all the cameos. Dude definitely puts on for the DMV.
I was in a trans as soon as I saw this over at An Eye-Douching. I don’t know if I should laugh or dead bolt my door. Director Brett Ratner is in this too, not random at, nope not at all.
Ahh I can’t help but post Japan X Animals. You know we are always behind Japan’s trends. Monkeys running around on the bar at your local Ruby Tuesday coming in 2010. I swear the people in this video are nicer to that monkey than they would ever be to me.
One of my favourite tracks this year, off one of the best albums to drop this year. Ali’s verse is incredible. Directed by Rik Cordero.
Oh, by the way: Jake has a blog too. He’s got some interesting stories about making the record, all good stuff. I’ll have to add him to the master list of producers with blogs.
