I came across a new r&b singer on J Records, Emily King. She lists here influences all types of musics, from Nas to Neil Young, which is an eclectic group that I would certainly approve of. Her debut album is reaching its final stages including production by Salaam Remi. The one track that caught my ear is ‘Walk In My Shoes’. Emily shows a beautiful voice with minimalist beat that rocks back and forth and is just begging for a rapper to drop a verse for a remix.  I look forward to hearing more from her.
