The time: Monday Night, The place: Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo (if you are a local, Orchard Park), the place of prosperity all around. An event that brought as much hysteria and hype as the Shanghai Olympics did to China, a Monday Night Football game. It may no longer be on ABC, but that didn’t matter, dammit it’s been 13 years since Buffalo was in one! So around halftime I was smiling like a jester seeing Tony Romo and the Cowgirls being raped for an obscene amount of turnovers, in the end there was 6 turnovers (5 interception, 1 fumble). Fast forward to the end, after failing to “seal the deal”, Cowgirls win an onside kick with 20 seconds left, move the ball up enough to get a 53 yard field goal, get iced as the first kick goes through, on attempt #2 the rookie drills it again, no problem. All I can say is it left me feeling pretty bad for Bills fans (and the fact f’n cowboys won a game they had no business being even close in), seeing grown man cry does something to you, don’t hide your beautiful tears union workers. In the end I recommend that the game giveaways at the stadium for the rest of the season (decade?) are anti-depressants (even my gf, an admitted groupie of the bills punter, can use one), it will be a lot more useful than a noisemaker or the 354th beer cooler for a bills fans collection.
Look on the bright side Cowboys haters & Bills fans, you got to see Michael Irvin jump around like a mad man (with a hint of little girl tendencies), while holding a lollipop in hand, I have an inkling that leads me to believe it was one of these.
I’m going to go watch grown men cry in zubaz, good night.

Another month, another gem from Marco Polo. M Peezy just hit me up to let me know he has a track on the new J-Live BBE project Reveal The Secret EP (In stores 10.23.07). The track is called Practice, it’s a rework of the DJ Jazzy Jeff produced J-Live track off Jazzy Jeff’s The Return of the Magnificent (Which is a must have in it’s own right). It features a sample of the infamous “we talkin about practice” AI rant which without stating is pure genius. MP brings a catchy piano loop with cuts on the hook.

Podcast
We had some trouble with this one. As you may have noticed we haven’t posted our weekly podcast in two weeks. Both weeks were fucked up. The first week the server was down and we couldn’t record, then on the second week we did a half show (due to technical difficulties) and it got deleted cause I messed up the controls on this new program I got to record. So we went in last night, near to midnight, and recorded an entirely new show. The intro to the show is taken from some bullshit we were doing while setting up, it got recorded and I figured it was epic enough to leave on. The rest of the show is great. Take a listen and be sure to listen for our next show which will air live here at 10 pm on Tuesday and be podcasted online on afterwards.
Playlist:
Citizen Cope- Bullet and a Target
Alice Smith- Fake is the New Real
Pharcyde- Passin’ Me By

Pepper- Like Your Style
A Tribe Called Quest- Electric Relaxation
Dangerdoom- Crosshairs
Atmosphere- The Keys to Life vs. 15 Minutes of Fame

I just got around to listening to that new Wu track. You know, the one with the “first-ever Beatles sample.” And all I have to say is WTF?! The track is great but that beat has been out since February!!!! I believe it was B-Boy Grunt (Former ML Affiliate) who posted the track on our site while it was just a Ghostface Solo joint (also a great song, by the way). This wouldn’t bother me much; but MTV put a big article up two days ago about how the sample isn’t actually an original Beatles sample and the clan has now admitted to this. No Shit! Its obviously not the same song from the damn White Album!!!! MTV is saying George Harrison’s son, Dhani, is the dude playing guitar on the track and at least that seems like a verified claim. But a dude who commented on our February post (a Mr. Squeek Boogie) said that the original sample was of a cover of the Beatles song by the Jazz Guitarist Jimmy Ponder. And he’s right, it is. Take A Listen.
Everybody is talking now. Shoulda listened to us in February!!!!

Things of note: R. Kelly doesn’t take off the Gucci plastic tag on his sunglasses. He also didn’t have time to sing for someone to come and braid his hair before he started filming. We love the bowl of apples near the drum machine near the end with the fakest looking trying-to-focus the camera during some intense shit filming ever. Wait, what’s the point of this again?
This video wins one award, best supporting actor….to the panasonic cordless phone.
P.S. The final installment of our much-belated Trapped in the Closet reviews THIS WEEKEND, tell your grandparents.
