Finally (a lot) more material from Chester French is starting to surface, as they set to release their debut, Love The Future later this month. First up is Jacques Jams. The Clinton Sparks helmed mixtape which has to be the most twitterized mixtape to date that I’ve seen, so it definitely succeeded on the marketing aspect. Listen to see if stacks up the hype!
Simply put, this is just a dope pop song produced by Salaam Remi (frequent Nas producer). I have played it many times since it has come out a few months back.

You are probably wondering who these dudes are, as chances you are like me and you haven’t heard of this Philly group before, but if you don’t listen to this, you lose. This isn’t a Jim Jones jack move, they remix/sample the og monster MGMT track to impressive results.
As promised here is more Chester French for your mind. This was lingering around in the drafts for like 2 weeks, so apologizes for the tardiness. ML got to check out D.A. & Max aka Chester French do a quick acoustic set in one of DC’s dopest boutiques, For The Greater Good about 2 weeks back. After we saw the planning go down on twitter right in front of our eyes, so we had to check this out (as D.A. said it was a historic moment, performances brokered on twitter!). Interestingly enough CF opened up with their biggest song/single She Loves Everybody, mostly due to audience request. As soon as the song started ML was pretty much sold on CF’s live act. D.A. has a very unique, yet powerful voice that was ringing out clearly through out the store sans any mic, while Max played the catchy melodies on the guitar. We look forward to hearing and checking out more stuff form the duo. Their debut Love The Future drops on March 31st.

(Head over to RCRDLBL to grab 2 great remixes by The Neptunes & Steve Aoki. Also, word on the street is the video for the song is going to be released tomorrow.)
You can catch Chester French on tour with Lady Gaga starting in March, the dates along with one bonus photo of our after the jump.
I have been sleeping on Best Week Ever this year (and a lot of TV in general), watching this the other night made me realize what a fool I am for not keeping up. I missed out on a lot of awesome pop culture stuff from kids eating 30 magnets to gropings on reality shows. Thankfully, the BWE crew did the legwork for me and wrapped up the whole year in a nice, like always-funny package. If you need the best recap of all things pop culture, have amnesia, or just have time to kill before the champagne is ready, watch this.
Also be sure to check out KNOWxONE’s year end wrapup featuring some serious Up & Comers.. and yours truly musing on the year that was.
So you just *ahem* bought 808s and Heartbreak, and as you come across Paranoid, you notice someone named Mr. Hudson on the track. If you were like me you were scratching your head as to who that was. It turns out Mr. Hudson is dude out of the UK that is a part of a band called Mr. Hudson and The Library, and is a recent signee of G.O.O.D. Music. For more info and to check out some of his impressive work check out our homie’s KNOWxONE writeup.
