Last night I was invited by my cousin Dan to a listening party for Termanology’s debut, Politics As Usual, coming out September 30th on Nature Sounds.
It was a small, intimate affair. Everyone met on the 4th floor of the EMI office on 6th Avenue and hung out and ate pizza for a bit. Fellow Showoff Records artists Reks and Statik Selektah came through to support. After about a half hour, we went over to the conference room to listen to the record.
You’ve alreadyheard HM responding to Donny Goines. But to me personally its not that serious, I enjoy stuff like this instead. Since I always like Something Awful’s Photoshop Phriday, this is a natural to post.
Q-Tip says Jay-Z and Ol’ Dirty Bastard were almost on “Crooklyn Dodgers”:
At the time we had [Buckshot, Masta Ace and Special Ed], we had Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and we reached out to Jay-Z, I think, at the time, and maybe somebody else. I think they all came. I think Ol’ Dirty Bastard left, and I think Jay came late.
