I have been sleeping on Best Week Ever this year (and a lot of TV in general), watching this the other night made me realize what a fool I am for not keeping up. I missed out on a lot of awesome pop culture stuff from kids eating 30 magnets to gropings on reality shows. Thankfully, the BWE crew did the legwork for me and wrapped up the whole year in a nice, like always-funny package. If you need the best recap of all things pop culture, have amnesia, or just have time to kill before the champagne is ready, watch this.

Jay, as always, is the voice of reason. I really don’t need to see another rapper telling me he didn’t get knocked out while covering up his black eye. There’s a reason we haven’t really posted about any of these recent beefs; none of these rappers are writing disses as sharp as “The Bitch In Yoo” or “Malcolm”, for starters, but these feuds are also mostly lame and silly. 

Browsing through the Crate Kings archives, I came across this mini documentary about the Fat Beats location in New York, hosted by the legendary (and Beat Drop Contributing) DJ Eclipse.  Pretty interesting. They also did a slightly more generic documentary on the store while back that’s worth checking out too.

You already know we’re fans of Fat Beats at ML.

The majority of our readership is probably scratching their heads at the title of this entry..don’t worry we are not switching over to another language on you on that babelfish tip. But if you are Russian, your life will be changed by this clip, or if you have any Russian friends- you have the power of changing their lives by simply showing them this video. I’ve never been more proud to have been born in the Ukraine.

Shit, even if you don’t speak Russian this Rick Rosschik Hustlin’ tribute is worth a screening. Credit to WOTSM.

The Rosenthals scheme for holiday music might just work..

ML Homie Steve (of OGHipHop) passed on this piece they wrote up about a youtube producing sensation named Ronald Jenkees. What caught my eye with Richard is how musically talented he is, the way he sorta blackouts while playing on the keys.. as well as the fact he doesn’t look like anyone you would expect to make beats, check it out.
