Youtube has a channel that is just P. Diddy content and while it has a lot of pointless short shit, I have found 3 pieces of gold. And of course I’m here to share.
First off is Diddy showing that he is the OG of ‘Proactive’: But I gotta confess I started using it cause it worked so well for Jessica Simpson, shit I started eating tuna cause of that woman, cause TV controls me like that.

———————————
Next up is Diddy showing us how he is like the rest of us regular joes because he has scuffs on his walls. I’ve never felt closer to someone famous before this.

———————————
Last, but my favorite is Diddy comparing the time he spends at the urinal to that of his sexual encounters, well then I bet he <3’s Golden Showers. His sound effects are prono-esque. (PS, youtube has some content warning for this clip, why?)

Thanks to Hot Karl, I came across two very good reads.

Thumb up for sleazy.
This article is about Joe Francis the founder of the Girls Gone Wild brand which has been teasing you with college girls on cable as long as most of you can remember. and it shows you that he is a true humanitarian. Take a look:
But the women are changing, Francis tells me, and that makes him sad. In the beginning, when “Girls Gone Wild” cameramen first popped up in clubs, the women who revealed themselves seemed innocent—surprised, even, by their own spontaneity. Now that the brand is so pervasive, the women who participate increasingly appear to be calculating exhibitionists, hoping that an appearance on a video might catapult them to Paris Hilton-like fame.
And Francis is getting a bit old for spring break. He says he’s tiring of the eternal vacation. “It’s really the worst thing, in my mind,” he says, comparing it to a trade show or a convention. “It’s fun for everybody else but me. I just get hounded by kids. It was more fun not being famous on spring break.” What’s more, the press has been omnipresent and, he says, too critical. “I’ve been anally raped over and over by the media.”
It’s an odd sort of thing for him to say. In January 2004, as news reports recounted, he was forced at gunpoint to simulate sodomizing himself with a vibrator as an intruder videotaped him in his Bel-Air mansion. A 28-year-old named Darnell Riley was arrested 14 months later, after police received a tip from Paris Hilton. Riley pleaded guilty to robbery and attempted extortion and was sentenced to 10 years and eight months. He is serving his time in Corcoran State Prison.
Yea… I think this one of the few times in life I wouldn’t feel bad about someone getting sodomized. Cry me a river, you’ve become a multi-millionaire and you want someone to feel sorry that the girls are not as ‘innocent’ as they used to be and you can’t enjoy Spring Break like you used to? Someone please start a fund to help Joe Francis out. This guy would lead a list of what is wrong with people these days, money and sex crazed, because you know that all is life is these days. I didn’t quote the type of shit Francis does on a standard day but it is a MUST read.
————————
This next thing Karl found is a fucking long read but well worth it. It is being made into a movie and one of the craziest true life stories I’ve heard in a while. I won’t say anything so you read the whole damn thing but, I don’t know which guy was more crazy.

I was browsing through AAH and I came across this tidbit regarding Talib’s new album
Ear Drum features production from Hi-Tek, Rick Rubin, Mad Lib, Kanye West and guest appearances from Norah Jones, UGK, Sizzla, Jean Grae and others.
Norah Jones and UGK on the same album? should be interesting and you already know Rick Rubin dosen’t deliver subpar shit only elite shit, this album is really picking up some steam. It drops Oct. 10th.

This is the new Talib Kweli single ‘Listen’. It is currently the Jam of the Week on MTV Jams. I really dig this song because Talib dosen’t seem to stray away from his formula of catchy but not really club songs. I am really looking forward to see what his album turns out like with his own label situation finally on his plate.
***Method Man speaks on his career and the industry to XXL, Part 1 & Part 2. Meth is def. a smart dude, I found it amusing that he was bitching about the media to the media, but you get a sense of him being really jerked around at times.
***Really good interview with Kool G Rap. Covers a lot of his history and future, I would give this a must read.
***The Roots’ history in video format. I really need to see these guys live soon. It’s been way too long.
***Interview with Purple Ribbon/Dungeon Family’s Killer Mike. I think his 2003 album was a real sleep and from the bunches of tracks I’ve heard of his mixtape I think this year he is ready to raise it to another level, it is gonna be one of my top 10 albums to look for this fall.

More recently I’ve been hearing rappers featuring people who cannot sing for shit singing their hooks on their songs.

The first time this phenomenon really hit me was with Big Moe on that Mike Jones track Flossin’. Now, me being a fan of Moe’s mic skills, I originally thought the song would feature a rap verse from the talented Houston MC. But unfortunately I was given a grating hook with only a little bit of rhyming. Honestly, more recently I have grown to like the song (but I’m still not a fan of his singing…..love the rhymes though) and I only use him as an early example to lead into one of the biggest problems in rap. Max B.

This Dipset-affiliate has recently been appearing on different Jim Jones songs and also on the new Cam’ron album. My least favorite song with this dude singing on it is a new Jim Jones single called “Don’t forget about me.” This song has some classic Jim Jones rhymes but I just have to know what Max B had to put in Jim’s weed to make him think he was a good singer. I mean it was either he drugged him or he took a bullet for him. What did you do Max B??!?!?!
P.S.- I still like Max B’s rap skills.
Like you never sang the hook of Flossin’ alone in your car……shit.

Recovering from having my wisdom teeth savagely taken from me, I decided to search through some of my old school hip-hop yesterday. I came upon my old copy of Licensed to Ill (I have 4 copies). It was then I remembered that I heard the Beasties were a hardcore punk band before they went to hip-hop. So after a little research (big-up to the Wiki) I found the name of their first punk EP, Pollywog Stew (pictured above). After more research I found that all of the songs on this obscure EP, including some other hardcore songs from their other punk EP’s, had been re-released in 1995 on the LP Some Old Bullshit. So I copped it, and let me tell you that this is not only some good hardcore but this also gives me a greater appreciation for one of my favorite hip-hop groups who have now become one of my favorite hardcore groups as well.

The hot new teenage boy activity, being carried by old men. *NH*
***Ayo Haley Joel Osment in Hish School you were the man homie. Now you crashing your car drunk, and ‘ridin dirty’ with some weed. But the thing that upsets me is neither of the actions..it’s this:
Authorities said Osment was driving home alone about 1 a.m. when his 1995 Saturn hit a mailbox and flipped over.
Damn. A 1995 Saturn? Really? How the hell are you gonna drive that car around when you’ve done big hollywood movies? The people that catered the food on the movie sets are pushing better rides.
Keeping it moving with this Celebrity moment…
***Vanessa from MTV/TRL was dancing at some club, nothing special untill some Lil Jon comes on. Her dance is priceless.
Video Link
***and wtf is this:

No I don’t need blinders to look at this pic.
I guess Paul Wall and his Vietnam homie are branching out their operations. Damn TMZ is addicting.
***This is not really Celebrity but this is a pretty popular video I just came across of Dubya “singing” Sunday Bloody Sunday, well done I must say.

If thats not a NBA’s player mischievous smile I don’t know what is.
Two years ago I awoke to a top story on the local news. Rodney White was arrested in DC (PS in my google research for White, I came across an article saying he has a place in Bethesda? Bethesda? Is this guy really from Detroit?) for shooting off a gun in the air while in a Landrover, the reporters who were covering the story obviously didn’t know who Rodney White was.. but they knew he was an “NBA Star”, if this was a ABA dude the police probably wouldn’t even waste paper on him to do a police report and the TV stations wouldn’t waste their film, there are local crackheads who are more important/popular. The general public quickly realized his career avg is about 5 points per game and quickly forgot about the matter.
Â

I hope Lonny keeps his guns and hugs separate, the combiniation might result in some cute violence.
Fast forward to this morning, Last night Lonny Baxter was arrested near Dubya’s pad you guessed it.. popping off a gun in air. The local news footage of him being cuffed is pretty nice too as he is pretty much falling out of his loosely tied Air Dunks. Now Lonny is a local guy who grew up in Silver Spring, MD, went to UMD, even played for the Wizards so he was having a nice local night out. But for Lonny to shoot of a gun? I always thought he was a softie that probably enjoyed a nice big hug, I guess not. Oh and since he will be playing for Montepaschi Siena which might’ve forced me to get a gun but not point it to the moon, but rather my temple (Do they give Pizza bonuses to players over there??). This year he can’t be considered a NBA anything per say but you know this gun charge has earned him enough cred to be right back in the league, dressed nicely sitting on the sideline.
So now I ask who is going to be next to pop off a gun in DC? Telfair? Jasikevicius? My Money is on Alan Henderson.
P.S. Another angle of what happened with Lonny is maybe Dubya didn’t want to party up agian with him and Lonny was in a downer mood as a result?

While some may beg to differ, I personally believe Rock and Roll is a dying beast, but it feels good to look back on a time when that shit was still good. New movie coming out. Shows the early side of punk rock that grew into all that rebellious teen music I loved so well. Peep the trailer.
Also, next time your in Wheaton (like you go to wheaton) try out this Dusit Thai Cuisine place. Seriously, the best Thai food I’ve ever had, and cheap too!!! Shit was rated like the best bargain restaurant by Washingtonian for something like 7 years straight. 2 cute waitresses as well. *ML APPROVED DINING*
Yum…

One of the most political rap groups of all time is back, even though half of the group has passed on (Professor X & Sugar Shaft), they are still bringing the same lyrics with an important message you need to hear. You might even recall Eminem name dropping them on his ‘Encore’ album. If you like Public Enemy, def. check this out. Their album ‘Return From Mecca’ drops 10.31.06.
