Mitch Richmond gets no respect.

Per TMZ:

She wants to be bad, but not too bad. Former Nick Carter-girlfriend and future faux Anna Nicole Willa Ford married longtime boyfriend, Dallas Stars hockey player Mike Modano over the weekend. Thursday night, Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton souled-up the VIP area of TAO Las Vegas night club. Also feeling Zen at TAO, NBA player Donyell Marshall and retired baller Mitch Raymond.

I can almost guarantee that they meant to say Mitch Richmond. I bet they wouldn’t call Chris Webber Chris Webster. Yes, I’m still bitter about a certain trade that held the Wizards back for about 6 years. As shocking as this may sound-I guess no one is an NBA fan on TMZ. No one seems to mention in the comments that no “Mitch Raymond” ever played in the NBA.

Metallungies X Tien Mao, Helio Pool Party 8.19.07.

Our collabo project continues haters! The finale of the Helio Pool Party series went out with a bang. I wish I could’ve checked out the Baltimore Bass Connection!

Here’s what Tien thought:

Sunday’s McCarren Park Pool Party was the last one for 2007, and possibly the last one ever. With future use of the pool in question (http://gothamist.com/2007/08/15/mccarren_2.php), music fans and artists made the best out of the final show this year under overcast skies and rain. Yacht was a one man show with the artist stopping at one point to field audience Q&A and getting into the crowd to sing and dance. Following Yacht was a group of artists performing with The Baltimore Bass Connection with guests The Cool Kids, Kid Sister, Betty Black, and Pase Rock. The collective was followed (after a dancing banana) by the headliner Ghostland Observatory. While turnout was much smaller than it would have been on a nice day, the crowd was excited for the duo from Austin, Texas. Watching singer/guitarist Aaron Behrens, it’s clear why they say he’s drawn comparisons to Freddie Mercury and Prince.

Spank Rock (B-more legend.)

Santo Gold

Kid Sister (Signed to A-Trak’s & Catchdubs’ Fools Gold Label, appeared on that little mixtape. peep her.)

Cool Kids (Dope up & comers)

Well at least the Government still believes in Hip-Hop.

If you look closely you can see 2 dudes in black tees. This was a hip hop duo (didn’t catch their name) performing at the Department of Commerce’s United States Patent and Trademark’s community day back in June. Not one soul seemed to pay them any mind which I kinda felt bad about but you wouldn’t expect your average baby boomer government employee to be “feelin it”. The sound was pretty bad so I couldn’t even tell if the guys were any good, plus I was too busy enjoying my new free:

Talk about randomness, and what kind of message is being sent, government employees need grooming? But the price was right. Tax dollars at good use 😉 .

I know this late but I have reasons, one of em being FINALLY finding the damn usb cable for my phone.

PS if you know the groups name holla in the comments so I can at least give em a myspace link.

B.I.G. Casting Call for NOTORIOUS.

Casting has started for a biographical movie of Biggie called NOTORIOUS. Both Voletta Wallace & Diddy are involved with the project, as well as Biggies former managers. It will be interesting to see how the movie portrays Biggie’s adversaries ie, 2pac. You can submit your own entry to try to become the next Biggie at the official site, hopefully Guerilla Black doesn’t apply. There aren’t many contestants up but we have our early favorite, and he is reppin DC! According to IMDB the film is scheduled to start production in the Fall.

Trapped in the Closet Chapter 18,19,20 Thoughts.

Had a little birthday celebrating to take care of but now we are hitting you with the trifecta. Chapter 18, 19, 20 all in one!

Ch. 18

  • Dykin=awesome term.
  • Award winning green screen work in the car.
  • Verizon with a RAZR? God damn it that phone is like 343242 year old why won’t people stop using that played out shit.
  • Why do I think the Pastor is inspired by R. Kelly’s Happy People video?
  • After seeing this Reverend scene I hope Eddie Murphy is getting royalties from this.
  • Was it beyond R. Kelly to sneak in a white person into this church?
  • R. Kelly singing a graphic conversation gay back and forth gets him street cred right?
  • Rufus may be gay but at least he doesn’t have a pink RAZR.
  • Wait Chuck is in a hospital so maybe he’s not really crying, maybe it’s just saline solution OD?

Ch. 19

  • Not expecting the church? Umm.. for what all we’ve seen it’s not really shocking.
  • “You can do it Pimplooscious” will be humming in our heads for weeks.
Chech? I hope that’s not a subliminal at Don Juan/Snoop.
  • I hope Pimplooscious is a gay pimp.

Ch. 20.

  • Package? It makes me think Randolph would be a good drug peddler.
  • What is the purpose of a hot water bag??
  • Man I’m kinda disappointed by Randolph… he is liquoring up in a church AND he snitches?
  • Is it me or have you see better fat suits than the one “Randolph” has at your local 5th grade Halloween party (not that we still attend those, kthxbye)?

You’ve been waiting and here is the don of all don’s, PD:

Chapter 18:

  • R., starting to get a bit homophobic and/or lonely in the screening room.
  • This looks like a real chapter.
  • “Phone is staticin’.” That was unnecessary suspense.
  •  Oh, he flipped the script! Goin’ to chuuuuurch!
  • Isn’t Rufus the pastor? Should he be getting up and walking out of the service like that? I don’t know, maybe that’s normal.
  •  Chuck is in rough shape, man.
  • Rufus, re-establishing the fact that he’s married to Kathy. Thanks for reminding us.
  • Haha! What a choker. He tried to hang up and accidentally put it on speakerphone?
  • Rufus looks like he’s getting ready to leave life on the down low…            “‘Cause I’m in a hospitaaaaal….” C’mon Rufus, it wasn’t that much of a shock. People go to the hospital sometimes. Just ask him why he’s there.

Chapter 19:

  • Pimps go to church?
  • “You want to stop pimpin’ aaaaaall these hos.” “Shhhhh!”
  • Pimp Lucius shows no signs of change. The “Ho…me ghost?”
  • I guess if pimps can go to church, so can hos.
  • To everyone who thinks R. is taking himself too seriously, watch the end commentary. Kind of disappointing. I sort of wish he was taking this seriously.

Chapter 20:

  •  Back to Rosie.
  • Old ladies always want to know what’s going on with the holy man.
  • Haha, he’s just singin’ while he’s cleanin’.  “Yes, Lord….yeeees, Lord.”
  • YES!  Someone got back in the closet!
  • How did Randolph hear what Chuck was saying?
  • You know, there was some actual plot development in this chapter.  Thumbs up.
