RJD2 is one of the many dope artists that doesn’t get enough deserved shine around here, only a mention here and there.
With that said, a step in changing that- Ben at AlwaysHustle posted up some new tracks RJD2 released on his myspace blog. In my personal opinion, Song For You is the stand out cut of this bunch, but all are worth a listen. RJD2 has worked with a lot of underground cats like Blueprint, but I’d love to hear him work some mainstream Hip Hop acts, the results could be as hypnotizing as Mos Def on the Wylin remix.

Yo, I’m a big fan of the RJD2 and when I heard these tracks I thought they were FIRE! But later to hear that they wernt him I was deeply upset. I did some research yall so no one gets the wrong, cause I was DOOPED! I found a RJD2 thread that said there was some confusion with youtube and alwayshustle.com, and that the videos on youtube were titled RJD2, but wasnt him, it was supposed to be an artist called Elephant Armada. He also got mixed up with some Dj Shadow and Nujabees video. The guy reportedly apologized on the site, but now it seems that Elephant Armada is trying to sue this guy because his album isnt out yet, and is wondering why his shits on youtube? So it’s an Elephant Armada leak everyone not a RJD2 leak. I’m gonna go around and post this thread for others to read so they dont get it twisted.
The first time I heard “Song for You” was on a London radio station and even they introduced it as RJD2’s new stuff. I did see it on youtube as well, i think a fan musta posted it and just labeled it wrong?? I dunno?
I’m a huge fan of RJD2 but …………. I’m reallllllllllly feelin the Elephant Armada stuff!!!
