SNL Digital Short: The Lonely Island Ft. Seth Rogan – Like a Boss, Video.

More comedic video visuals from The Lonely Island. Is it wrong I like this video a lot more than the og Slim Thug version?

Bishop Lamont: “I did not get dropped from Aftermath”, Video.

Earlier today DJ Vlad had some odd voiceover video claiming Bishop got dropped from Aftermath (I’m not linking to that shit, I have a hard time supporting sites that rip stuff without giving credit). Bishop shoots back his own video and refutes being dropped, promotes a Duck Tales DVD, plays some new music, and answers a bunch of questions. He mentions a track with Warren G and Nate Dogg on the hook, if you were watching Warren G’s ustream tonight, that might have been it (he only had Nate Dogg’s hook looping). PS: A “journalist” would at least attempt to contact the subject in question or state they were not availble for comment, I’m just sayin.

Wale – Penthouse Anthem.

Our guy Wale is stuck in a cold & snowy Maine before his show tonight.. so what does he do? He leaks a track that’s a tribute to the hard working girls of the strip clubs.

Big Tone – Business.

Big Tone made his debut on Jay Dee’s Welcome 2 Detroit and has been doing it for the D ever since. He was nice enough to pass me this track off his sophomore album The Art of Ink and I’ve had it on repeat for the past 24 hours. Trust me, you’re going to want to play this with the volume all the way up. Is it me or is everything that comes out of Detroit these days amazing?

Bonus: Shawn Jackson – Maan Up! (ft. Ta’Raach & Big Tone)
Bonus: Lacks – Star Of The Story (ft. Big Tone)
Bonus: Lacks – Is It!? (ft. Big Tone, Elzhi)

The Art of Ink is on iTunes now and will be in stores April 21. Shouts to Big Tone!

Flying Lotus – Los Angeles Promo, Video.

Via Pitchfork Media

Another video from one of my favourite producers working right now, LA’s Flying Lotus. It’s a fantastic video collage of classic sci-fi flicks set to music from 2008 album, Los Angeles. Watch it.

Hit up our man Andres for more Flying Lo goodies.

My apologies for not posting anything for the last little while; I’ve been buried under school work the last few weeks, and I’m not out yet.

EDIT: The video was taken down. Copyright issues?

Dallas Penn discovers Dead Wrong Entertainment.

You must check out this Dallas Penn greatness. First watch Dallas chillin near a shoot for some movie, followed by a broken down subway car (where he makes a girls day). Then, watch the last scene (at about 7:15), it is so mind blowing that no textual summary can do it justice. You couldn’t script an epic moment like that if you tried. Can someone get Dead Wrong Entertainment on twitter please?

DJ Class – I’m The Shit (Remix) (Ft. Kanye West).

I guess it takes Kanye to bless a track with a verse to really catch on. Knobbz let me know recently that our previous post with the OG Remix of the redic club banger is one our most searched posts on google. So, it’s only right we post another remix featuring Kanye. Kinda sick to hear an auto-tuned Kanye shout out Baltimore’s legendary Unruly label.

Q-Tip – We Fight, We Love (Remix) (ft. Kanye West, Consequence).

Q-Tip drops another all-star remix. Truth be told, I was not a fan of The Renaissance. Aside from “Gettin’ Up,” nothing on it really stood out to me. But I’m starting to think I should give it another shot.
