True story: In my senior year of high school, there was a freshman in my gym class with a high-pitched voice that we nicknamed Squeaky Little Bitch. We treated Squeaky like a little brother that we loved to mess with. One day, my friend thought it would be funny to surprise Squeaky with a ball tap when he walked into the locker room. So when Squeaky walked in, my friend jumped out and lunged toward Squeaky’s crotch. But instead of a light tap, my friend straight punched him in the balls. After that, Squeaky always looked both ways when he went in the locker room.
It sounds horrible, but you really had to be there to appreciate how funny it was.
Here are two great songs about the male crotchal region. Oddly, they’re both by Bishop Lamont. No shots (cock or otherwise).
Yeah, there might have been a GOOD Music showcase which took over SXSW & Twitter on Saturday night, as well as performances from Raekwon, Bun B, Jadakiss (who had the best on stage commentary of the festival), and many more. But this is the highlight of the week. Skip to the last quarter, it’s so bizarrely random. In the very least, you have to admit that it’s impressive how Asher gets his target demo on lock in seconds, with his presence hypnotizing them to chant in the street like a cute little cult.
The final studio mastered version dropped with Lady Gaga on the hook (a genius move). Has already achieved staying on loop status. Catch the man on the Attention Deficit tour in a town near you.
I recently stumbled upon this video, and I think it’s safe to say it could be the greatest rap video ever made. Someone get this guy a record deal! Hot Ham!!!!
Damn, this is spooky. This video shows the party that The Notorious B.I.G. attended on the night that he died. Everyone from Clark Kent to Missy Elliot was in the building partying it up. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t show the man himself. What I would give to have been the only white guy at that party.
It’s always fun when two of ML’s BFFs get together on a track. The Capitals game must have put Wale in a good mood because he just leaked another track off his mixtape with 9th Wonder, Back to the Feature. What’s more, it’s the collaboration with Curren$y that someone was telling me about.
Wale and Curren$y each kick a verse of straight wordplay over a beat that I never would have expected from 9th Wonder. Rather than his usual sweeping soul sample, the beat consists of some bongo drums and what I think is a guitar; minimal, but nice. Back to the Feature is shaping up to be something special with appearances by Joell Ortiz, Drake, Bun B and Royce Da 5’9″, to name a few.
I know that Curren$y has Wale on one of his songs too, but it’s not going to be on This Ain’t No Mixtape, as far as I understand.
I need a late pass on Crooked I. After I met him at the Slaughterhouse show, I finally got around to listening to Hip Hop Weekly and now I’m hooked. I haven’t been very impressed by any of the Slaughterhouse songs, but this has Crooked West Coasting over some dangerous synths. This is the first song off Crooked’s upcoming album B.O.S.S. (Beginning Of Something Serious).
Wow, 15 years from now people are gonna treat this clip with the same nostalgia they treat the Arsenio Hall performances all over youtube. Great stuff.
