Kidz Bop Steps It Up

I just saw a commercial on television for the new Kidz Bop, and they got Sean Kingston to remake “Take You There”. I jumped online as fast as I could to find that he made a whole new Kidz Bop video. If you’ve heard it, you remember the original song is an infectious dance joint that had references to the hood, kids holding guns, and other trife shit. The original video was shot in Miami and included Officer Rick Ross blowing trees, DJ Khaled, and mad video girls. The new Kidz Bop video is a bunch of little kids dancing on a beach with Sean Kingston. Plus, they altered the lyrics. Next stop… Lollipop.

Metal Lungie Diggin: Kanye West – Gorgeous & Breathe In Breath Out.

Damn, since its the “in” thing (Andrew is killing it!) I guess its time I dusted off the ML Diggin category.

Serious Kanye heads will know about the track he did with Murphy Lee (!!) a little before his debut College Dropout came out. I came across a final version where it’s just Kanye solo on the track, with a different rare verse (I don’t think it has been reused on a different song?).

I’ve included the more commonly had version for comparison**

Kanye West – Gorgeous
Kanye West Ft. Murphy Lee- Drop Dead Gorgeous

**There is also a rare copy with the verse from “Gorgeous” hastily pasted on to the end of “Drop Dead Gorgeous”, but it sounds like ass.

Also for your collection purposes there is a Breathe In Breathe Out version sans Ludacris.

Black ELement – Ride It Out [Missing ELements #1].

Black ELement has been prepping his album, A Major Minority, for its September 18th release for a while now. While he works on it, he’s got a new project, Missing ELements, that’s he’s putting out. Keep your dial tuned to ML over the next few weeks to pick up the new BE tracks as they drop.

Check out the first track of Missing ELements, “Ride It Out”, below.

Read Black’s explanation of the track below:

Whenever an animal is backed into a corner or it’s life is threatened, we have the instinct to fight back. The instinct is to survive and with war plaguing  our nation over the last 40+’s years with pointless conflicts we as a people finally begin to seek for change. From generation to generation, though the technology of the weapons has changed the result and heartache stays the same. Families having loved ones fighting for a guy whose a million miles away, just so his son’s trust fund can get a little bigger. War no matter the time, it effects us the same way until we can’t take it anymore, until we ride out!

Bossman Ft. Raheem Davaughn – Missin.

Bossman is a Baltimore MC who was once signed to JD’s Virgin Records imprint a few years back. I hadn’t heard much of his name in a minute but he just put out a very good tribute track dedicated to K-Swift’s memory.
